The Peshtigo School District offers 4-year-old kindergarten to any child who resides in the district who is 4 years of age on, or before, September 1 of the given school-year.
Hours:
Our half-day sessions run Monday through Thursday with morning classes meeting from 8:00-11:10 and afternoon classes meeting from 12:00-3:10.
Busing:
Busing is offered to afternoon students who reside outside the city limits and any student who attends our local daycare programs.
Curriculum:
The program includes a strong focus on parent-school communication with regular family outreach opportunities and conferences. Our curriculum follows the Wisconsin Mode Early Learning Standards. We provide a balanced, hands-on approach, so your child can learn through play. A focus on learning through play allows children to gain skills in all areas including: social-emotional, cognitive, creative expression, early literacy and self-help. "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." - Fred Rogers
